OUTSIDE
Our rooms have direct access to our gardens and play area. We believe outdoor space and access is essential for children. Children are taken out at least twice a day where they can experience outdoor activities like planting, mud play, running, cycling and lots more. A drinking water fountain is readily available for the thirsty!
Our babies and young children are also taken for walks in the local area in a pushchair.
We have two gardens which are inter-linked providing a changing yet cosy environment.
We plan a range of activities for outdoors which link to and extend their knowledge of activities that are being explored indoors. Outdoor play allows children to develop skills that could not be practised safely indoors, providing opportunities to run, climb, balance, dig, throw and ride. We have sand and water equipment and growing area where children are given the opportunity to learn about gardening nature and growing plants.
